Coping with Change

When I lived with my parents, I did not have to watch the amount of money I spent because I knew that if I need something my parents would help me get. I babysat for a few families but I did not have regular times. Often I would have a month or two between jobs. I often however spent all the money that I made within a week. I never spent it on useful items. Mostly I spent it on junk food and books. I would borrow money from my younger brothers if I didn't have enough. When I moved into the dorms, my mother told me that I would not get more money for a few weeks. I had 200 dollars with me. Somehow, my mother's words fixed themselves in my brain. For over a month, I managed to keep for spend all of that. I have managed to keep enough money with me and to judge whether or not I need something to where I don't borrow money from people anymore. I have had some of my friends borrow money from me. I think that I have learned not to spend wildly but only time will tell. I know however that this is one of the biggest changes in my life so far.
